You can block up to six telephone numbers, within your regional calling area, from which you do not wish to receive calls. You won't even hear the phone ring. Callers whose numbers are blocked will hear a recorded message stating that calls are not being accepted at this time.

To use Call Block:

  • Set up a list of the numbers you want to block.
  • You can change the numbers on the list at any time.
  • You can also turn off the Call Block service temporarily without changing your list.

To block calls:

  • If you have a 12-button set with Touch-Tone service, press *60. (For rotary or pulse dialing, dial 1160.)
  • You will hear an announcement telling you whether the service is ON or OFF. In some areas, you must dial 3 to turn on Call Block.
  • Listen closely to the voice recording and follow the instructions carefully. If you need to hear the instructions repeated at any point, dial 0.
  • The voice recording gives you instructions for setting up and changing your list. It also tells you the phone numbers as you add them to your list, which may include the last number that called you.

Important:  When adding a number with an area code that is different from yours, be sure to enter the area code.

To turn off Call Block:

  • If you have Touch-Tone service, press *80. (For rotary or pulse dialing, dial 1180.)
  • Listen closely to the voice recording and follow the instructions carefully. In some areas, you must dial 3 to turn off Call Block.
  • To remove all the numbers from your list, press 08. (For rotary or pulse dialing, dial 1108.)
  • To remove private entries, press *09.

To block future calls from the last number that called:

  • If you have Touch-Tone service, press *60. (For rotary or pulse dialing, dial 1160.)
  • If you have a 12-button set with Touch-Tone service, press #. (For rotary or pulse dialing, dial 12.)
  • Wait for the confirmation tone.
  • If you have Touch-Tone service, press 01#. (For rotary or pulse dialing, dial 01.)
  • Listen for the confirmation announcement and follow the instructions carefully.
  • When you are finished, hang up. Calls from this number will now be blocked from ringing on your phone, even if it is a private number.

Things to remember:

  • You can have up to six numbers on your Call Block list. If you try to add a seventh, the voice recording will give you instructions to erase one of the numbers.
  • You cannot block a number if it is from outside your regional calling area.
  • This service cannot block cellular or pay phones calls.
  • Operator-assisted calls can override Call Block.
  • Call Block must be ON to block, even if the list is full.

Calls can be forwarded from a business phone to any phone, anywhere, even mobile phones.

To use this service:

  • On phones with Touch-Tone service press *72. On rotary phones, dial 72.
  • Listen for a dial tone, and then dial the number where you want your calls to go. (In some areas, you will hear two beeps.)
  • When the party picks up, Call Forwarding is in effect. (Be sure to say that you are forwarding your calls to their number.) Your calls will continue to be forwarded until you turn off Call Forwarding. or flash key and call again within two minutes. Listen for two short beeps.
  • f the line is busy, or there's no answer, briefly press the switch hook, recall button.

To confirm that Call Forwarding is turned on:

  • On phones with Touch-Tone service press *72. On rotary phones, dial 72.
  • Listen for two short beeps.

To turn off Call Forwarding:

  • On phones with Touch-Tone service press *73.  On rotary phones, dial 73.
  • Listen for two short beeps.

    Please note: 

    • You cannot answer a call when Call Forwarding is on. However, a short reminder tone will signal you that a call has been forwarded.
    • Long distance or regional toll charges may apply.
    • If a forwarded call is completed, and it is a toll call, the customer will be charged for that call.

When the phone rings, you see the number, or the name and number, of the person calling.

To use this service:
The unit will display either the number of the incoming call, or the number and the name of the calling party, as they appear in public directory listing records. Most units store this information, so, if a call comes in while you are out, you can see the name and number later.

Special instructions for Call Waiting ID with Name:
When the you are on the phone, this feature shows you the number of the "waiting" call and the name of the calling party.

Please note:

  • Caller ID requires a display unit or display telephone, which must be purchased separately. The manufacturer will provide information on how to set up the display, its storage capacity, and information about how to retrieve, review and delete stored telephone numbers When a call is coming from outside your Regional Calling Area, a special message appears on the display. See the manufacturerís instructions for information on display messages.
  • Certain telephone numbers displayed by Caller ID cannot be called because they are not designed to accept incoming calls. One example is Wide Area Telephone Service (WATS) numbers.

Privacy information:
By dialing *67 (1167 on rotary phones), you can prevent your number from being displayed. With many display units, youíll see a "Private" or "P" message. See the manufacturerís instructions.

Call Waiting lets you take a second call when you are already on the phone.

To use this service:

  • A special beep tone will tell you that another caller is trying to reach you.
  • To put your current call on hold while you answer a second call, briefly press the switch hook, recall button, or flash key. You can switch between callers as often as you like.
  • If you don't wish to answer the second call, just continue talking. A reminder tone will signal you once, ten seconds after the beep tone, giving you another chance to answer.
  • To end your first call, just hang up. Your phone will ring and the second caller will be on the line.

Please note:

  • You can temporarily turn off Call Waiting. Before dialing, simply press *70 to deactivate Call Waiting for the duration of the call.
  • Each call is separate and private. No caller can overhear the other caller's conversation.
  • When you choose not to answer a second incoming call, the caller hears the standard telephone ring until they hang up.

Priority call lets you know when important people are calling. This feature provides a distinctive ring tone on calls from up to six pre-specified telephone numbers. When a call arrives from one of the specified telephone numbers, your telephone will ring in a special way.

You can program your service to recognize up to 6 unique numbers. This list can only be created from serving area telephone numbers.

If you subscribe to Call Waiting and the call arrives while the line is busy, the Call Waiting tone will exhibit the same special pattern.

Activation:

  • From 12 Button Touch-Tone press *61 (From Rotary or 10 Button Touch- Tone dial 1161)
  • Follow prompt for instructions.

Deactivation:

  • From 12 Button Touch-Tone press *81 (From Rotary or 10 Button Touch- Tone dial 1181)

Allows you to automatically redial the last number dialed.  If the number you called is busy, a 30-minute queuing process begins.  You will receive a voice prompt advising you that the network will attempt the call again.  Repeat Dialing is available on a subscription or Per Use basis.

To Activate:

  • Listen for dial tone
  • Press *66 (1166 for rotary)
  • If the number is busy, listen for confirmation announcement, hang up, and the call will be in queue for 30 minutes. A special ring will indicate when the call is returned.

To Deactivate:

  • Listen for dial tone
  • Press *86 (1186 for rotary)
  • Listen for confirmation announcement
  • Hang up

This feature allows customer the option of returning the most recent incoming call. This can be done right away or it can be done later, provided another call does not come in first. If the line is busy, a 30-minute queuing process begins.  Available on a subscription or Per Use basis.

To Activate:

  • Press *69 (rotary dial 1169)
  • Last number (where available) will be provided. You then have the option to press "1" or dial "1" to return the call.
  • Special ring will signal when both lines are free.

To Deactivate:

  • Press *89 (rotary dial 1189)
  • Listen for confirmation
  • Hang up

(Speed Dial 8, Speed Dial 30)

Speed Dialing lets you make both local and long distance calls by dialing just two digits.

To record, add, or change a number to Speed Dialing:

  • Listen for dial tone.
  • Press 75 # (For rotary or pulse-dialing, dial 1-1-7-5).
  • Listen for dial tone.
  • Press the speed code (20 through 49).
  • Dial the desired number.
  • Listen for the confirmation tone.
  • Hang up.
  • Repeat these steps until you have assigned a code to each telephone number that you want on your Speed Dialing list. Use a different code for each number.

To place a call with Speed Dialing:

  • Listen for dial tone.
  • Press the code for the number you want to call, 20 through 49 (and #, if applicable).

Things to remember:

  • If you program long distance numbers, be sure to dial 1 before the area code and number (if required).
  • Do not use number 0 or 1 as Speed Dialing codes; 1 is reserved for long distance access and 0 is reserved for the operator.
  • There is no charge for changing numbers on your speed call list.

Selective Forward allows you to transfer calls from up to six phone numbers to a location you select within you regional calling area. Only calls from numbers on your Select Forward list will be forwarded, any other calls will ring at your regular number.   To use Selective Forward, set up a list of the numbers to be forwarded.  You can change the numbers on the list at any time. You can also turn the Select Forward service off temporarily without changing your list.

To start Select Forward:

  • If you have a 12-button set with Touch-Tone service, press *63 ( If you have a rotary or pulse-dialing phone, dial 1 1 6 3). You will hear an announcement telling you whether the service is ON or OFF. If necessary, the recording will also give instructions for turning Select Forward on.
  • Listen closely to the voice recording and follow the instructions carefully. If you need to hear the instructions repeated at any point, dial 0.
  • The voice recording gives you instructions for setting up and changing your list.

To turn Select Forward off:

  • If you have a 12 -button set with Touch-Tone service, press *83. If you have a rotary or pulse-dialing phone, dial 1-1-8-3.
  • Listen closely to the voice recording and follow the instructions carefully. In some areas, an additional step is required.
  • To remove all the numbers from your list, press 08. At a rotary or pulse-dialing phone, dial 1-1-0-8.

To Add Last Number That Called to List:

  • Hang Up Phone.
  • If you have a 12-button set with Touch-Tone service, press *63. If you have a rotary or pulse-dialing phone, dial 1-1-6-3.
  • If you have a 12 -button set with Touch-Tone service, press #. If you have a rotary or pulse-dialing phone, dial 1-2.
  • Wait for the confirmation tone.
  • If you have a 12 -button set with Touch-Tone service, press 0 1 #. If you have a rotary or pulse-dialing phone, dial 0-1.
  • Listen for the confirmation announcement and follow the instructions carefully.
  • When you are finished, hang up. This number has now been added to your Select Forward list.

Things to remember:

  • There can only be six numbers on your Select Forward list. If you try to add a seventh, the voice recording will give you instructions to erase one of the numbers.
  • You cannot add a number to your list if it is from outside the area in which the service works.
  • Forwarded calls will be billed to the customer, not the caller.

Allows you to talk with two other people either local or long distance on the same call.

To add a third person to an ordinary "two-way" call:

  • Briefly press the switch hook, the recall button, or the flash key, putting the call on hold.
  • Listen for three short tones and then a dial tone.
  • Dial the number of the person you want to add to your call.
  • When the person answers, you can speak privately first, or simply bring them into the conversation by briefly pressing the switch hook, recall button or flash key.
  • If the line is busy or there is no answer, you can return to the original party by pressing the switch hook, the recall button, or flash key twice. You can then use Three-Way Calling option again at any point during your call. Just follow the instructions listed above.

To disconnect:

  • Either person you're talking to can leave the conversation by hanging up. You will still be connected to the remaining person.
  • You can disconnect the second number you called by pressing the switch hook, the recall button, or the flash key. If you want, you can then call a new number.
  • To end the call completely, just hang up.
You have the option to protect your phone service by adding a freeze to your local and long distance lines. A freeze prohibits any unauthorized changes to your service and prevents your phone service from being 'slammed' or moved to another carrier.

To add a freeze to your account and prevent being 'slammed', simply download our authorization form, sign and return to us. We will apply your local and long distance freeze immediately. You may also call Customer Care at 1-888-848-6824 to have the freeze applied. There is absolutely no cost to you to receive this important security feature.
